TAG in the Community Theatre Art Galleries is pleased to announce a partnership with the Junior League of High Point and The Boys & Girls Club for an afternoon of art and stories on Friday, January 22, 2010 at the Briles House at 4:00p.m. The program features works from African American artists, Faith Ringgold. Children will create their own artwork based on her story, “Tar Beach.” The children will explore a variety of materials including acrylic paints and fabric to create a collage to tell the story. Afterwards they will also create a piece of work based on the closeness of family and their wishes for the future. Art activities will be lead by TAG’s education coordinator, Kathy Moore. |
