The Theatre Art Galleries (TAG) is an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to quality visual arts exhibition and education. Exhibitions of outstanding local, regional and national artists are scheduled up to 1-3 years in advance. Although original art is sold through the Galleries, TAG is a nonprofit organization, and its primary focus is not on sales. Art displayed at the galleries must be prepared for display, i.e., 2-D work should be framed and/or prepared to be hung.
The Galleries are open to the public, free of charge, Tuesday - Saturday, 12 pm - 5pm, and by appointment. The Galleries are also open during events at the High Point Theatre, providing a large audience.
Selection of work to be exhibited is determined by the Executive Director and an Exhibition Committee, consisting of artists and art patrons. The Exhibition Committee meets about three times a year.
