"TAG on Wheels" Art Field Trip
Join Theatre Art Galleries for a day of art in Durham, NC. We’ll explore Duke University’s Nasher Museum, featuring The Enclave, artwork from video installation artist Richard Mosse. We’ll take a tour of Nasher’s historical artwork from around the world from their permanent collection in The New Gallery and selections from their contemporary collection in the exhibit Reality of My Surroundings.
After lunch, we’ll see the unique modern artwork at the 21c Museum Hotel. 21c features art installations by several artists created specifically for this space, including artwork using mirrors, foil, paper, light, electricity, and cigarettes. Along with their permanent collection, 21c is also exhibiting Found@Counting House focusing on the culture of sports and hunting trophies using found and everyday materials.
When: Wednesday, November 4th from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.

Housed inside the High Point Theatre in downtown High Point, Theatre Art Galleries (TAG)
hosts exhibitions of visual art from local, regional, and internationally recognized artists.
In two floors of spacious galleries, TAG programs approximately 16 exhibitions yearly
featuring solo and group shows. Our Exhibition Committee chooses artists to exhibit
through a jury selection process. Interested artists will find more information on this process
on the "For Artists" page.
Exhibitions are free of charge and open to the public,.

The History of TAG:
TAG began as a program of the High Point Area Arts Council. In 1992,
Theatre Art Galleries was incorporated as a separate 501(c)(3)
non-profit organization. TAG is now in its 23rd year
of independent operation.
Since the opening of the High Point Theatre facility in 1975, Theatre Art Galleries has been
High Point's primary provider of visual arts. The High Point Theatre offers a wide range of
performing arts throughout the year that complement TAG's visual art exhibits.
This powerful combination makes the facility one of the region's premier
destinations for visual and performing arts.
