History of TAG
Since the opening of the High Point Theatre facility in 1975, Theatre Art Galleries has been High Point's primary provider of visual arts. High Point Theatre - itself a wing of the International home Furnishing Center - offers a wide range of performing arts throughout the year that complement TAG's visual art exhibits. This powerful combination makes the facility one of the region's premier destinations for visual and performing arts.
TAG began as a program of the High Point Area Arts Council. In 1992, Theatre Art Galleries was incorporated as a separate 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. TAG is now in its 22nd year of independent operation.
