“What Do You Do That’s Good For You?”
Be sure to visit the YMCA at Hartley Drive to see the mural,
"What Do You Do That's Good For You?"
The children in the Hartley Drive YMCA’s after school program helped design
and paint a mural all about the activities they do to improve their physical and mental
health. TAG partnered with the High Point Arts Council to fund this public art project.
The goal of the mural is to spread awareness about healthy lifestyles to the High Point community
while also empowering these young artists to make an artistic statement. The mural is located in
the YMCA’s Child Watch room - near the front lobby.

The History of TAG:
TAG began as a program of the High Point Area Arts Council. In 1992,
Theatre Art Galleries was incorporated as a separate 501(c)(3)
non-profit organization. TAG is now in its 23rd year
of independent operation.
Since the opening of the High Point Theatre facility in 1975, Theatre Art Galleries has been
High Point's primary provider of visual arts. The High Point Theatre offers a wide range of
performing arts throughout the year that complement TAG's visual art exhibits.
This powerful combination makes the facility one of the region's premier
destinations for visual and performing arts.
